Us:

Medhurst is a family-owned winery in the Yarra Valley producing Estate grown, award winning wines from our Estate in Gruyere. With a key focus on quality over quantity, our single vineyard wines and small batch wine making philosophy have cemented our reputation of being one of the key wine producers of the Yarra Valley.

Our Cellar Door is located overlooking our Medhurst Vineyard, particularly chosen for its favourable micro-climate, north facing slopes, good drainage and magnificent aspect. Our wines are made onsite in our beautifully designed Winery which is a prominent feature on the property. It was designed with maximum efficiency in mind, features underground barrel storage and sits in harmony with its hillside setting.

The Role:

We are a friendly team of professionals, looking for someone who has a love for wine and hospitality, can tell a story and who can lead with a balanced and considered approach. Working closely with our Cellar Door Manager, some of your responsibilities will include:

· Supervise the venue in the manager’s absence

· Deliver high quality wine experiences for our guests through informative and educational wine tastings/wine service

· A head for sales, can read the customer and close the deal when required

· Forge meaningful relationships with our guests, internal and external stakeholders

· Drive mailing list & wine club sign up’s

· Can manage high foot traffic with a calm and controlled demeanor

· Can work autonomously in times of low trade

You:

· A strong work ethic and positive energy

· A background in wine, hospitality and/or guest experience

· High level of communication and customer service skills

· A lover of people

· A small details person

· Weekend and public holiday availability

Our Cellar Door is open Thursday - Monday, 11am - 5pm

This is a casual position offering 3 - 4 days per week.
