TMP & Permits Coordinator

Our established OSOM Transport Company located in Penrith NSW is seeking an experienced Transport Management Plan & Permits Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safe, compliant and efficient operation of our heavy haulage and specialised transport services.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and implement Transport Management Plans (TMPs) for major projects and heavy haulage movements

Coordinate, lodge and manage Permits and approvals with relevant road authorities

Ensure compliance with road safety legislation, Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and company policies

Liaise with internal teams, drivers, clients and government agencies to ensure smooth delivery of OSOM transport projects

Ability to create a workable Permits Register

Maintain accurate records of Permits, approvals and TMP documentation

Plan, schedule and allocate vehicles and drivers for daily transport needs

Monitor job progress, ensuring on-time deliveries

Manage last-minute changes and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment

Accurately update records and job sheets

Facilitate the retrieval and imaging of all Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation

Skills & Experience:

Previous experience preferably in OSOM or heavy haulage plus traffic management planning

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in OSOM or heavy haulage operations is required

Traffic management planning experience is a mandatory requirement for this position

Strong understanding of road permits, compliance and regulatory requirements

Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail

Strong communication skills for engaging with authorities, clients and drivers

Proficiency with relevant software and permit application systems

Experience with transport software systems and permit application platforms is required
