About the Role
Our client is a well-established civil construction company with a strong footprint across Queensland, delivering projects that shape essential infrastructure for local communities. With continued growth and a strong pipeline of work ahead, they are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Accountant to play a pivotal role in managing the company’s financial operations.
This is a hands-on, end-to-end role where you will manage payroll, tax, compliance, reporting, and financial planning. You’ll be the go-to person for the business on all accounting matters, working closely with senior management to ensure accurate financial information drives key decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end payroll management ensuring compliance and accuracy
- Preparation and lodgement of BAS, tax, and statutory requirements
- Full accounts receivable and payable management
- Month-end reporting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Budget preparation and forecasting to support strategic planning
- Annual financial reporting and collaboration with external accountants
- Providing proactive financial insights and advice to senior management
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a senior accounting position
- Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated expertise across payroll, tax, reporting, and budgeting
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
- Proactive and hands-on approach, able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently across all levels of the business
Salary & Benefits
- Attractive salary: $110,000 – $130,000 + super
- Full-time, Monday–Friday with no weekend work
