The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accountant to join the east coast operations finance team, situated in the outer southern suburbs of Brisbane. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement, while providing valuable insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation of month-end journals, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Assist with job cost allocations and reports on a monthly basis.
• Manage fixed asset registers and capital expenditure reporting.
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles.
• Deliver variance analysis and financial insights to management.
• Contribute to process improvements and systems enhancements.

What You’ll Bring

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards.
• Strong technical accounting and statutory reporting knowledge.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or related industries (advantageous).
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator able to build relationships across finance and operations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
