THE EMPLOYER

Our client is a leading Australian consulting and program management firm, delivering critical capability to industry and government clients.

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Cloud Migration Assessment Consultant to join a high-profile engagement with The Australian Bureau of Statistics. This role will see you take the lead in shaping migration strategy and architecture, with a particular focus on VMware and AWS.

THE ROLE

In this role, you'll be responsible for the assessment of complex VMware environments, including VMware NSX and VMware Operations architecture, to inform treatment patterns and migration planning.

You'll be engaged in driving cloud architecture network design activities, ensuring the client’s landing zones and hybrid environments are robust, scalable and secure - and co-develop application treatment patterns aligned to the industry-standard 7R’s framework for VM migration.

You'll also be involved in partnering with the client to design and sequence migration waves, setting the roadmap for a smooth and cost-effective transition to cloud.

REQUIREMENTS

NV1 Australian Defence Security Clearance (MANDATORY)

Experience working in a consulting environment

Proven expertise with VMware, NSX, and AWS networking

Appropriate tertiary qualifications & technical certifications

Strong experience leading technical assessments in large-scale migration or modernisation projects

Ability to translate complex infrastructure realities into clear treatment patterns and pragmatic migration strategies

Excellent communication skills and the confidence to lead workshops with senior stakeholders

Ability to start immediately
