Remuneration: $70.43 - $71.74 per hour

An exciting statewide Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 3 position within Extreme BPSD Consultation and Liaison Service that provides expert support to NSW Inpatient Health units in caring for people experiencing extreme BPSD with complex care needs.

What you'll be doing
Join a pioneering state-wide pilot program supporting NSW Health inpatient services caring for people with extreme behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia. Lead as a senior clinician driving expert consultancy, leadership, education, research, and service development.
Provide expert clinical consultancy across OPMHS
Lead and supervise CNC peers and nursing workforce
Drive clinical leadership and collaborative projects
Apply research to enhance practice and innovation
Plan and deliver specialised education and training

Essential Requirements:
Qualification: Post graduate qualification related to the specific area of specialty
Registration: Registered Nurse with current authority to practice with AHPRA
Selection Criteria:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Minimum seven (07) years of full-time post-graduate experience, including at least five (05) years full-time equivalent in the specialty field. Possession of an approved postgraduate qualification and/or master’s degree relevant to the specialty.
Demonstrated clinical leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework, with a strong commitment to clinical excellence in nursing practice.
Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating initiative, accountability, and sound clinical judgment
Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering education and training, with a sound understanding of evidence-based practice and a commitment to person- and relationship-centred care
Demonstrated advanced interpersonal and communication skills, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and advocacy, particularly when engaging with key internal and external stakeholders
Experience in conducting or contributing to research, clinical audits, and/or clinical practice improvement projects within OPMHS
Eligible to drive in NSW and ability and willingness to engage in travel across the state as needed.
