Position Overview

Reporting to a Supervisor, the Mechanical Fitter tasks will include but not limited to, working within a team environment to carry out repairs of equipment and plant as required and in accordance with specifications/drawings & work packs supplied, to maintain quality of work to be produced on time, safely and to the required standard.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Actively support and keep in close communication with the immediate supervisor and/or team leader.
• To perform all regular / scheduled maintenance and repairs to the client’s equipment, on site and in the workshop.
• The repairs and maintenance to be carried out in accordance with all statutory requirements in a safe and quality manner.
• Clear and concise communication with all employees.
• Conduct assigned tasks in a safe and efficient manner, complying with set policies, programs and industry & regulatory standards.
• Be prepared to respond to any emergency jobs required.
• Conduct methods in appropriate manner to prevent work errors.
• Actively seek out ideas for continuous improvement.
• Wear and look after appropriate Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE) as required for the task being undertaken.

You will require

• Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting - (Australian Standards)
• 5 years plus experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
• C Class Drivers License - (Australian)
• White Card
• Clean National Police Clearance
• Full Australian Working Rights
