About My Role:

As a Coordinator at Northcott, I lead the day-to-day operations of our Everyday Life Skills, Work and Study, Respite and Skills for Life Program, ensuring our customers receive high-quality, person-centred support in line with the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.

In this role, I provide strong practice leadership, supporting and guiding staff to deliver consistent, values-based services. I champion open communication, nurture a collaborative team culture, and lead by example with empathy, professionalism, and integrity.

I bring a proactive mindset, self-awareness, and resilience, always seeking ways to improve outcomes for both customers and the team. Through reflective practice and a commitment to continuous improvement, I strive to create an environment where everyone can thrive.

On a daily basis, I:

  • Oversee and coordinate the Everyday Life Skills, Work and Study, Respite and Skills for Life Program, ensuring delivery aligns with individual customer goals.
  • Balance and prioritise the needs of both customers and the staff team, promoting a supportive and efficient environment.
  • Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers, families, and team members.
  • Apply a person-centred approach to assess, identify, and resolve challenges effectively.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and training to staff, ensuring high-quality, consistent service delivery.
  • Manage operational responsibilities such as roster reviews, reporting requirements, and ensuring compliance with Northcott’s Policies and Procedures.

How I Lead in This Role:

This role allows me to bring together my experience, education, and leadership skills to drive positive outcomes for both customers and staff. I:

  • Apply my tertiary qualifications in Social Science, Disability, Recreation, or a related field to support evidence-informed practice.
  • Champion a customer-first culture, helping the team understand and respond to the unique needs of every individual we support.
  • Identify and break down barriers to customer achievement, exploring creative and practical solutions.
  • Align decisions and practices with both organisational values and business unit objectives.
  • Take a structured approach to planning, managing daily through to annual tasks to ensure program and team success.
  • Lead a high-performing, cross-functional team across multiple programs, encouraging innovation and empowering fresh approaches to challenges.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of NDIS Standards, Workplace Health & Safety, and the NDIS Quality and Safeguarding Framework.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities, KPIs, and business objectives in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
