About the role:
We are seeking a Facility Services Officer to join the Construction and Maintenance team on a permanent full-time basis (part-time hours will also be considered). The position plays a key role in ensuring City of Swan buildings are safe, clean, compliant, and welcoming for our community and which contributes to improving the quality of life for our community.
The Facility Services Officer act as the key point of contact for the City’s building users, staff, and contractors, fostering positive relationships, identifying risks and improvement opportunities, and maintaining facilities that are fit for purpose and aligned to community expectations.
With a strong focus on safety, customer service, and forward planning, you’ll work closely with contractors, staff, and building users to ensure services are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and Hygiene services
- Pest Prevention and Control services
- community & corporate passive equipment
- kitchen & bathroom servicing
- Indoor Plants, Window Blinds, other passive tenant/building operational services
- Carry out the requirements of the role in accordance with Legislation, City policy, standards, processes and procedures.
- Provide best value and quality services, as safely as possible, continuing to improve the quality of life for our community (Just Culture Framework)
- Responsible for arranging, delivering and inspecting:
- Make recommendations on opportunities for improvement in performing your role (building design, features, amenities, services, products, systems, processes)
- Assist the Supervisor when required.
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Recognised Diploma qualification in property management, business or substantial job specific experience in a similar role
- Substantial property management and/or building operations experience within a Customer focussed environment
- Demonstrated experience in delivering a building service program safely, on time and on budget
- High level of communication skills to deal with internal and external customer and a willingness to make a difference to improve the quality of life for our community
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate is required.

The salary for this position will be from $72,362.16 - $87,036.08 per annum, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
