As a Senior Environmental Scientist / Planner, join a consultancy that has worked across 1,100+ mine and quarry sites in NSW. Their name is synonymous with strategy, approvals and environmental planning for some of the biggest mining and quarry operators, right through to bespoke, site-specific projects.

What makes this role different? The work flows in - they don’t pitch, they often turn projects away. You’ll be stepping in to take pressure off two highly regarded Principals by reviewing, steering and delivering EIAs, Management Plans, audits and strategic advice.

The Role:

Lead delivery of Environmental Impact Assessments, Management Plans, and site consents

Provide strategic input to projects from exploration through to site closure

Support a team of juniors and consultants with technical review and mentoring

Liaise with mining & quarry operators, regulators and stakeholders

Work on varied projects across NSW - gold, silver, metals, construction materials, specialty quarries

Who You’ll Work With

You’ll be supported by Principals who are experts in their field and backed by a capable team of grads and consultants. The environment is deliberately non-hierarchical. They call themselves “quirky” and enjoy the variety of personalities and skills that brings. Everyone has their own interests, but at the core, the team genuinely enjoys solving problems for the mining and quarrying sector.

What You’ll Bring

10+ years in environmental science/planning with exposure to mining/quarry projects

Strong technical delivery skills across EIAs, approvals and environmental management

Ability to guide projects and support less experienced staff

Pragmatic approach - someone who enjoys applying strategy as much as delivering reports
