Summary of the position:
Picton location
Permanent Full-Time position - 35-hour week
Salary commencing from $114,493 + 12% Superannuation

We are seeking applications for a newly established position within Councils Environmental Services team. Reporting to the Environmental Services Team Leader, you will undertake development and planning proposal assessments, focusing on establishing positive environmental outcomes across the Wollondilly Shire.
To succeed in this position, you will meet the following criteria:
Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Planning or a related discipline and a Class C Driver's Licence.
Extensive experience assessing development applications and the ability to work through issues with applicants to achieve positive environmental outcomes
A demonstrated sound knowledge of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016, and other relevant planning and environmental legislation, and emerging planning reforms.
A demonstrated ability to produce high quality work on a wide range of environmental planning matters, including the preparation of concise, accurate and timely reports and effective conditions of consent.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communications skills with an ability to relay complex technical information to various audiences.
