Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) Ltd is a non-for-profit organisation, incorporating Fuller Sports Club and Stan Williams Park. Our organisation is a leading hospitality and community hub in Far North Queensland, delivering exceptional member experiences through dining, gaming, entertainment, sport, and community initiatives. With multiple venues and a strong football and community presence, the Club is committed to innovation, excellence, and connection. Brothers Leagues Club Cairns is the home of Fratelli’s Café & Restaurant, Bistro 26, Shamrock Bar, Q Sports Bar, entertainment & function spaces and a modern Gaming Lounge. With over 100 staff, our workforce is the place of best practice, aiming to provide an excellence in customer service experiences to all of our loyal members and guests.

The Role

Our Functions & Events Manager plays a critical, hands-on role in overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution, including:

Lead event execution in collaboration with clients.

Liaison with Department Managers to plan and organise logistics for each function.

Oversee costing and pricing of all functions and shows.

Supervision and management of Function Coordinators and staff throughout the event lifecycle.

Finalise client accounts and ensure accurate payment reconciliation post-event.

What We Are Looking For

To be successful in the role and part of our team you will have:

Previous experience in a similar role/environment.

Qualifications in Event Management and/or Hospitality.

Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA), Food Handling Certificate.

Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.
