The Structural CAD/CAM Detailer – Cadwork is responsible for producing accurate 3D models and shop drawings of prefabricated timber wall, floor, and roof elements using Cadwork. This mid-level role focuses on executing projects with a high level of independence, applying OFFSITE’s DfMA methodology and established work flows. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in detailing timber constructions, experience using Cadwork or similar 3D platforms, and a mindset oriented toward manufacturability, buildability, and process accuracy!

What we are looking for:

Essential:

1+ years Timber frame and truss detailing OR

Diploma level or Higher National Certificate qualified (Architectural, Structural Engineering or Engineered Timber Technician) OR

1+ years as a qualified carpenter in residential timber frame construction

A strong knowledge of prefabricated timber construction systems, especially roof and floor trusses

Experience in technical drawing and modelling and CAD/CAM workflows

Advanced CAD/CAM Software experience ideally CADwork

Ability to interpret and comply with the BCA and other relevant Australian Standards

Possess strong interpersonal skills with clear and confident communication

Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:

Carpenter background, 3+ years’ experience in detailing for prefabrication

Cadwork, Revit, MiTek Sapphire, hsbCAD
