The Structural CAD/CAM Detailer – Mitek is responsible got producing accurate truss layouts, framing details, and shop drawings for the prefabricated floor and roof truss systems using MiTek sapphire and associated tools. This role focuses on executing projects with a high level of independence.

3D modelling and Shop Drawing Creation

Project Execution and Documentation Control

Cross Functional Collaboration

Workflow Compliance and Continuous Improvement

What we are looking for:

Essential:

1+ years Timber frame and truss detailing OR

Diploma level or Higher National Certificate qualified (Architectural, Structural Engineering or Engineered Timber Technician) OR

1+ years as a qualified carpenter in residential timber frame construction

A strong knowledge of prefabricated timber construction systems, especially roof and floor trusses

Experience in technical drawing and modelling and CAD/CAM workflows

Advanced CAD/CAM Software experience ideally MiTek Sapphire

Ability to interpret and comply with the BCA and other relevant Australian Standards

Possess strong interpersonal skills with clear and confident communication

Experience in Microsoft Office Suite.

Desirable:

Carpenter background, 3+ years’ experience in detailing for prefabrication

Cadwork, Revit, MiTek Sapphire, hsbCAD
