About the Role

Bunya Care Pty Ltd is seeking a hands-on Intake & Rostering Officer to lead and oversee rostering for both our Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes and community support services in the Toowoomba region. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader with proven experience in the NDIS sector to make a meaningful impact while working within a supportive and progressive organisation.

As Intake & Rostering Officer, you’ll be at the heart of structuring our growing Toowoomba operations—ensuring participants receive high-quality, person-centred services and our team feels supported to deliver their best.

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing the design of rostering of participant support services across multiple SIL homes and community programs.

Leading the initial intake process for new clients, including intake meetings and onboarding activities in collaboration with Operations Manager & Service Delivery Manager

Preparing Intake service agreements, compliance documents .

Developing and implementing supported independent living support plans tailored to participant goals in conjunction with Service Delivery Manager

Building strong, proactive relationships with our Support Workers and ensuring Rosters are built in compliance of the SCHADS Award.

Identifying Recruiting gaps to build a high-performing, values-driven team.

Monitoring staff attendance and patterns of concern and reporting these to Operations as a part of continuous improvement.

Ensuring full compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and Bunya Care policies and procedures.

Providing input to leadership on operational issues, risks, and emerging opportunities.

Working closely with the CEO and Operations Manager to identify and implement growth strategies, participant referrals, and workforce planning.

To Be Successful in This Role, You Will Ideally Have:

Demonstrated knowledge and experience in leading and managing rosters.

In-depth understanding of the NDIS framework and the NDIS Act.

In-depth understanding of the SCHADS Award and ensuring efficient and effective rostering.

Experience in management, including team leadership and operational oversight.

High-level skills in employee engagement, including working alongside a young and enthusiastic management team.

Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and digital—with strong attention to detail.

The ability to lead change and introduce, implement, and monitor continuous quality improvement.
