About the Role
Equity Works is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Rostering Officer to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of services across our programs. This position is based at our Yandina and Maroochydore offices and works closely with leadership and frontline teams.
The role will require you to have capability to manage the effective and efficient deployment of staff to meet client service delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will be someone who can manage complex scheduling needs while maintaining positive communication and organisational skills.
The Rostering Officer supports the Leadership Teams across multiple service delivery programs. The role is essential to the planning and implementation of rosters designed to achieve quality outcomes and responds to ad hoc changes in a manner that ensures continuity of supports.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual with excellent administrative and interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for producing work to a high standard. You will be experienced in rostering roles, possess a high level of integrity, be accountable, as well as having the ability to time manage and prioritise effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain effective staff rosters to support service delivery.
Respond to ad hoc changes and ensure continuity of support services.
Collaborate with team leaders to understand staffing needs and priorities.
Use rostering to manage schedules efficiently.
Communicate clearly with staff regarding shifts, changes, and availability.
Apply a problem-solving mindset and forward-thinking approach to rostering challenges.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:
Experienced in rostering, including the use of a rostering or scheduling program.
Proficient in the understanding of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award, with the ability to apply Award conditions (e.g. shift lengths, penalties, breaks) to ensure compliant and effective rostering.
Detail-oriented and organised, with a strong focus on accuracy, the ability to manage competing priorities, and confidence in solving problems in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative and communicative, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally across teams and stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:
Previous experience in a rostering or scheduling role.
Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) Award.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office technology.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Criminal History Screening (NDIS Worker Screening and Blue Card advantageous).

Remuneration
This position is classified under the SCHADS Award Level 2. Salary packaging is available to increase your take-home pay.
