Our client is a boutique equity firm for high-net-worth investors, we are focused on recruiting for a professional and dynamic - Settlement Officer.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Settlement Officer located in Sydney - CBD, NSW. The Settlement Officer will be responsible for managing the settlement process of commercial property loans, from preparation of Letters of Offer, instructing solicitors, checking conditions precedent, settling the loans and reports.

Prepare Letters of Offers for commercial property loans.

Instruct panel solicitors to prepare loan documentation

Work closely with solicitors to ensure that settlement is on track

Liaise with lending managers to ensure that all conditions are met

Other duties to assist the credit team.

Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within a finance, conveyancing, or legal firm in Australia

Experience with bridging and/or construction loans

Proven experience in managing property loan settlements, particularly for commercial of non-banking lending

Strong knowledge of Australian property law, conveyancing principles, and mortgage documentation

Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple settlements simultaneously under pressure

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

Knowledge of the Personal Property Securities Act (PPSA)

Experience using loan management software or CRM systems

A diploma or degree in finance, conveyancing, or a related field
