Assistant Project Officer – Settlement Programs

Are you passionate about supporting humanitarian settlement outcomes and making a tangible difference in diverse communities across NSW? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Project Officer to support the delivery of strategic settlement programs and community-focused initiatives.

About the Role

As an Assistant Project Officer, you will play a key support role within the Settlement team of a NSW Government agency committed to promoting social cohesion and community harmony.

In this role, you will:

• Support project planning and implementation, tracking milestones and deliverables
• Undertake research and assist in the preparation of reports, project briefs and communications
• Provide administrative and secretariat support, including diary and meeting coordination
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, consultants and external partners to facilitate smooth project delivery
• Contribute to the delivery of programs supporting refugees, humanitarian entrants and newly arrived communities across NSW

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
• Experience providing project support in a government or community service setting
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Sound research and analytical capabilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with document and correspondence management systems
• A collaborative mindset and commitment to inclusive, community-driven outcomes
