Senior Project Manager / Development Manager
The Creative Capital
Posted 1 hour ago
Join the team behind Habitat Byron Bay and other design-led mixed-use projects shaping how the Northern Rivers lives and works. Creative Capital is a small, high-performing outfit that blends commercial rigor, thoughtful design, and real community impact. If you want responsibility, trust, and work that actually matters, read on.
The role – what you’ll do
Own the project lifecycle end-to-end: planning & approvals, delivery, and handover, working closely with the Development Director and Creative Director to ensure alignment and standards are met.
Drive programs, budgets, feasibilities, procurement and cashflow with precision.
Lead consultants, contractors and stakeholders; ensuring alignment and momentum.
Manage contracts, risk, compliance, and reporting.
Solve problems efficiently, effectively and decisively.
Lift quality across the board; details, communication, documentation, execution.
You won’t be siloed. In a tight team you’ll shape the work, not just administer it.
What you’ll bring
5+ years in construction/development, including 2+ in a PM/DM capacity.
Calm leadership, sharp stakeholder skills, and clear written and verbal comms.
Organisation, numeracy, and attention to detail; comfortable with complexity.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and modern project management tools; a tech-curious and adaptable approach.
Bias toward action, ownership and continuous improvement.
Why Creative Capital
Projects with lasting regional impact: we think long term, designing places with substance and community benefit, with Habitat as a benchmark of quality.
Big-firm project scale, small-team autonomy, with proximity to decision-makers and potential for real influence.
Broad exposure across development, design and delivery.
Competitive package from $140k+, negotiable depending on experience.
Byron Bay–based, full-time.
