About the role

Neighbourhood Care is seeking an experienced female Support Worker & an experienced male Support Worker to join our self-managing team in Ipswich. This casual role will see you providing high-quality care and assistance to our aged and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

What you'll be doing

Assisting clients with everyday tasks such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping

Accompanying clients to appointments, social outings, and community activities & providing emotional support and companionship to ensure our clients' wellbeing

Collaborating with the care team to develop and implement personalised support plans and manage supports

Maintaining detailed client records and following all relevant policies and procedures

What we're looking for

Willingness to work with a variety of clients, in community & in-home, short & longer shifts, including inactive sleepovers

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar aged or disability support role

Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Disability, Home and Community) or equivalent

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compassionate and patient approach when working with vulnerable clients

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team

Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

Experience in or willingness to learn how to collaborate with your team to manage the support you deliver to clients.
