In this role, you will deliver strategic and statewide programs, projects and activities and contribute to the delivery of a range of programs including initiatives and priorities aligned to Queensland Health's strategic objectives.
You will be valued for your relevant knowledge, your experience in health service planning and management of complex projects, ability to extract, create and interpret complex data and ability to manage team members. You will lead multiple projects and areas of work and enable team members to deliver required program of work under the broad direction of the Director, MHAOD Planning and the Branch Executive.
About you
We are searching for someone with:
- Demonstrated high level effective policy, health service planning and project leadership and management skills relevant to the MHAOD service system.
- High level understanding, and demonstrated application of, health service planning frameworks and relevant data sets.
- Proven high level interpersonal skills in negotiation, influencing, advocacy, communication, consultation and harnessing the collective efforts of diverse stakeholders at strategic and operational levels.
- High level written analytical and communication skills, including ability to compile analytical reports, discussion papers and planning documents.
- High level ability to source, critically analyse and interpret relevant research and information to underpin strategic policy and service planning.
- High level and demonstrated ability to formulate and communicate strategic advice to diverse stakeholders, inclusive of senior management.
- Proven ability to successfully lead a team within a contemporary human resources framework, set direction, motivate and inspire staff, promoting an environment where staff are valued, developed and coached to perform at their full potential.
- Expert understanding or demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of the MHAOD service system, including the complex interrelationships across sectors, relevant policy, issues and strategic direction at a national and state level.
