We area a busy, established Medical Specialist Practice located in North Gosford with a weekly clinic in Kanwal seeking an experienced, flexible specialist medical receptionist to join our friendly expanded team of 2 specialist consultants, 2 medical technicians and another receptionist.

The practice is currently seeking a permanent part time secretary who is available for 3 working days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (for now), including cover for personal/holiday leave.

Skills and Experience

Minimum 2 years experience in a specialist medical private practice

Strong IT skills and ability to adapt to practice management software (Gentu experience preferred)

Ability to multi task and work well in a busy environment

Positive attitude and show initiative

Works with meticulous attention to detail

Professional and friendly disposition and can work well with other staff

Ability to multitask, prioritise and and work independently

Provide a warm and courteous service to patients, maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all patient and practice matters

Tasks and responsibilities

Providing an outstanding level of customer service in person and over the phone to patients and health professionals

Efficient management of appointment calendars, referrals, clinical and digital files, SMS reminders

Answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments

Management of consultation invoicing including Workers Comp, Medicare and DVA claims

Using Gentu practice management software for patient records and billing

Required

The ability to work extra days to cover personal and annual leave for the other staff member

Must be willing to travel to Kanwal most Wednesdays
