This is a part-time position (2–3 days per week) with an immediate start available.
About the Role
In this role, you will be the welcoming face of the practice, ensuring patients receive a warm and efficient service from the moment they arrive. You will manage front desk operations, schedule appointments, liaise with patients and referrers, and assist our specialist doctors with administrative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Greeting and assisting patients in a professional, compassionate manner
Managing phone calls, emails, and appointment scheduling
Processing billing and Medicare claims
Preparing and maintaining patient files and correspondence
Awareness of Privacy Act obligations
Coordinating with hospitals and other healthcare providers
Requirements
Previous medical reception or administration experience (specialist practice preferred)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in medical software (Shexie preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Typing skills desirable but not essential
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Availability to commence immediately, although flexibility available for the right candidate
