About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Service Technician (Mechanical Fitter) to join our team at Air & Power in Belmont, WA. This is a full-time role, and you will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for our clients' pneumatic and mechanical equipment.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a variety of pneumatic and mechanical equipment, including compressors, air dryers and other associated equipment

Overhaul and rebuild of industrial air compressors and air blowers

Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service on equipment to ensure optimal performance

Document all repair and maintenance activities in detailed records

Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide technical guidance and support

Work closely with the engineering team to identify and implement process improvements

Maintain a safe and organised work environment, following all relevant health and safety procedures

Assist the Service Coordinator with scheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping and determining priorities

Develop business partnerships with clients

Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

Ability to work unsupervised to a high standard.

Work is in our Belmont workshop and on client sites predominantly in the Greater Perth Area.

What we're looking for

Relevant trade qualification or Mechanical Fitter or similar - or relevant experience

Proven experience in the maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Keen attention to detail and a commitment to quality

A valid driver's licence C Class - Required

Experience and skills desirable:

Restricted electrical license

refrigeration experience

elevated work platform

confined space certificate,

Forklift HRWL

Previous compressor servicing experience
