Service Technician – Gym Equipment

Are you hands-on, mechanically minded, and passionate about fitness? Join Kinta Fitness, a proudly WA-owned gym equipment manufacturer and installer, as we expand our Service & Installation Team. We’re looking for a motivated Service Technician who wants to grow with us long-term and develop into a Site Supervisor role.

About the Role

As a Service Technician, you’ll work on the installation, servicing, and preventative maintenance of high-quality gym and fitness equipment across Perth and beyond. While most work is metro-based, there will also be occasional FIFO jobs to service equipment for our remote and mining clients. You’ll start by working alongside our experienced team, learning the ins and outs of our equipment and processes, before taking on more responsibility in leading projects and mentoring others.

What You’ll Learn

We’ll provide full training and support to help you become a skilled and confident technician, including:

Safe installation of strength machines, cardio equipment, flooring, and rigs

Preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis on a wide range of gym equipment

Efficient service call-outs and emergency repair procedures

Customer service excellence – representing Kinta with professionalism on every site

Leadership skills – planning jobs, supervising junior staff, and communicating with clients

Project management – preparing for site installations and coordinating with warehouse and sales teams

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

Practical and mechanically minded – previous trade, maintenance, or hands-on experience is valued, but not essential

Eager to learn – we’ll provide structured training so you can become competent across all areas

Leadership-focused – you see yourself growing into a Site Supervisor, helping to lead teams and step up when the Manager is away

Customer-oriented – you take pride in delivering excellent service

Committed long-term – you want to build a career, not just a job

Licensed – a manual driver’s licence is essential, with flexibility for occasional FIFO work
