The Role:

As Finance Manager at Dashdot, your mission is to ensure our financial engine runs smoothly, accurately, and with clear commercial insight. You’ll work closely with the CFO and partner with key stakeholders across the business to support confident decision-making, strong compliance, and scalable growth.

You’ll lead the core finance operations — accounts, payroll, compliance, tax, cash flow, and reporting — while helping evolve our financial systems and processes to be smarter, leaner, and more effective. You’ll also mentor and guide a small team, role-modelling Dashdot’s values while building a culture of accountability, curiosity, and collaboration.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives on both the details and the big picture — balancing technical expertise with commercial acumen, and confidently translating financial data into clarity.

Your Responsibilities:

• Own and manage day-to-day finance operations (payables, receivables, payroll).
  
  
• Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and ATO obligations.
  
  
• Manage cashflow forecasting and financial stability.
  
  
• Deliver timely and accurate reporting, insights, and recommendations to leadership.
  
  
• Prepare and oversee budgets and forecasts.
  
  
• Optimise systems, processes, and automations for efficiency.
  
  
• Mentor and coach team members — guiding development, providing clarity, and holding accountability.
  
  
• Liaise with advisors, and external stakeholders as required.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting; CA/CPA preferred
  
  
• 5+ years experience in finance roles within SMEs, scale-ups or business services
  
  
• Experience managing small finance teams
  
  
• Strong technical expertise in payroll, compliance, tax, and reporting
  
  
• Xero expertise essential
  
  
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and financial modelling capability
  
  
• Clear and approachable communicator, with the ability to influence across the business
  
  
• Commercially aware, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused mindset
