Consolidated Travel is seeking a qualified and experienced Airfares Distribution Consultant to work in their Head Office. Working in a team environment in Melbourne's CBD, the successful candidate will be passionate about airfares and have a solid understanding of the travel industry.

In this time critical and accuracy demanding role, the successful candidate will be able to multi-task, interpret airfare rules easily and be proficient in all three GDS's. The role requires use of multiple systems, knowledge and understanding of commissions, experience with coding industry standard categories, checking fares in the GDS and complying with IATA rules.

The successful candidate will know how to prioritise their workflow, communicate effectively with internal and external clients and be results driven. They will be a specialist in Airfares & Ticketing and is expected to have a sound understanding of airfare rules to be able to provide airfare quotations for travel agents. They will also be required to accurately issue all types of standard IATA airline documents using internal programs and a GDS, ensuring all rules, conditions and taxes are complied with.

The candidate will require the following attributes:

1. Fares & ticketing 1 & 2
2. Sound GDS knowledge (Amadeus/Galileo/Sabre)
3. Minimum of 2 years fares & ticketing experience in a similar role
4. Advanced airfares understanding and ticketing knowledge
5. High level customer service skills
