About the role

Bathurst Golf Club Limited is seeking a highly experienced Bar Manager to oversee the efficient and effective running of our club's bar operations. The successful applicant will be provided with additional management training with a view to obtaining the skills to support the General Manager at all levels. This is a full-time position based at our club in Bathurst, NSW 2795.

What you'll be doing

Managing the day-to-day operations of the club's bar area, ensuring excellent first impressions and customer service by your team, presentation of the bar, gaming and lounge areas, complete adherence to all relevant liquor licensing laws and regulations, including health regulations

Roster and manage the bar staff, including providing training and personal development opportunities

Overseeing ordering of stock, its management and pricing of all bar products

Develop, implement and monitor bar policies and procedures to maximise profitability, efficiency and customer experience

Maintain accurate financial records and reporting for the bar operation to the General Manager

Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Club's food and beverage services

Contribute to the Club's' marketing strategies and implementation

Contribute to membership and sponsorship program development and implementation

Providing ad hoc support to the General Manager including cover for their leave

What we're looking for

Proven extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior bar management or duty management role within the hospitality industry

Proven interpersonal skills and ability to proactively support both senior and peer management

Proven track record in leading and developing a team of bar and customer service staff

Excellent knowledge of liquor licensing laws and bar operations best practices

Strong financial management skills, including stock control and budgeting

Exceptional customer service orientation and communication skills

Proficient in using bar-related technology and point-of-sale systems

Relevant bar management or hospitality qualifications recognised
