Your next career opportunity
As a Learning Design Assistant at the Melbourne Dental School, you'll play a crucial role in assisting in the creation of digital learning assets for Canvas LMS. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills in HTML, interactive online activities, and quality assurance processes. Working closely with learning designers and academic staff, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality dental education programmes in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Create Digital Learning Assets: Build Canvas pages and modules using HTML templates, developing interactive online activities with various tools.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Proofread, test, and maintain integrity of learning resources, adhering to naming conventions and filing processes.
  • Provide Technical Support: Assist staff with uploading resources and activities to the LMS, offering training when required.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with the learning design team, academics, and professionals across the School and University.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with experience in learning management systems, basic HTML skills, and a passion for creating engaging digital learning resources in a collaborative educational environment.

You may also:

  • Have a degree, diploma, or certificate in a relevant field combined with some experience.
  • Possess experience with Canvas LMS and creating digital learning assets.
  • Have basic HTML skills and familiarity with LTI tools for digital learning resources.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and diplomacy.
  • Excel in time management and prioritising tasks with multiple deadlines.
  • Be capable of working both autonomously and as part of a project team.
