Location: Geelong (Hybrid)
Contract: 12-month contract with possible extensions
Pay Rate
- APS6 : $60.26/hr + Super
- EL1 : $602.55 daily rate
Randstad is partnering with a large federal government organisation in Geelong to find two experienced professionals: an APS6 Senior Training Design Officer and an EL1 Training Package Design Lead. These roles are crucial for designing and delivering culturally safe training programs to improve outcomes for First Nations people with a disability. The successful candidates will work with internal teams and First Nations stakeholders to co-design learning solutions that incorporate cultural knowledge, lived experience, and adult learning principles.
What You'll Do
As the APS6 Senior Training Design Officer, you will:
- Support the design of training packages, including learning objectives, content, and evaluation tools.
- Apply adult learning principles to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
- Co-design training materials with First Nations stakeholders to ensure cultural safety and relevance.
- Help develop learning resources like facilitator guides and e-learning modules.
- Assist in piloting training packages and incorporating feedback.
As the EL1 Training Package Design Lead, you will:
- Lead the end-to-end design and development of training packages.
- Apply instructional design methodologies to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
- Co-design training materials in partnership with First Nations stakeholders.
- Develop a range of learning resources, including facilitator guides and e-learning modules.
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate external training providers.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, reporting outcomes to senior leadership.
Skills & Experience We're Looking For
- Instructional Design: Demonstrated experience in instructional design, adult learning, and training development is essential for both roles.
- Cultural Competence: A strong understanding of cultural safety and First Nations perspectives is required.
- Project Management: The ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate complex projects is required for the APS6 role. The EL1 role requires the ability to lead complex projects and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in education, training, human resources, or a related field are required. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent) is highly desirable. Experience working with First Nations communities is highly regarded.
