Hume Anglican Grammar is a multi-campus co-educational Anglican Diocesan School offering education from Prep to Year 12 in the Northern growth corridor of Melbourne.

About the role: Hume now calls for applications for the position of Visual Arts Assistant. This role will be part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed term and will be based at our Freier campus. The role will commence on Monday, 6 October 2025 and will conclude on Friday, 11 September 2026. This position also offers 6 weeks paid annual leave and 7 weeks leave without pay.
The purpose of the Visual Arts Assistant is to provide general administrative and hands-on support to teachers facilitating the Arts curriculum activities across the School.
The Visual Arts Assistant will work under the direction of the Subject Coordinator - The Arts (Freier Primary) and the Subject Coordinator – Visual Arts (Freier Secondary). The role will report to the two leadership positions and time allocation between each campus will be timetabled accordingly.
The Visual Arts Assistant has an important part to play in supporting the delivery of the highest quality teaching and learning programs at Hume Anglican Grammar.
The Visual Arts Assistant will need to be very organised and self-disciplined, have high standards and strive to improve their own practice and to make efficiencies in the school setting.
The Visual Arts Assistant operates in collaboration with their respective peer assistants – Performing Arts Assistant, School Technician, Teacher Assistants, School Assistants and STEM Technicians.
