Dara Disability Services are hiring! We are looking for some exceptional Support Workers to join our team in the Southern Suburbs and Hills of Adelaide, SA.

Our Support Workers working within this role are responsible for providing Supports where they are assisting participants with their daily activities, in home care, transport and social participation as well as light personal care and manual handling.

Location: Reynella, Edwardstown, Plympton Park, Seaford, Strathalbyn & Woodside

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and support to individuals in their own home.
• Domestic tasks
• Food preparation and service
• Medication Observation
• Assistance with activities of daily living
• Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings
• Supporting people with complex needs
• Enjoy our Dara Day Trips with clients
• Respites
• Assisting Clients to engage in the community

Qualifications:

• NDIS Worker Screening
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
• NDIS Worker Orientation Module
• Infection Control Training
• COVID-19 digital certificate
• National Police Check
• Drivers License
• Manual Handling
• Cert III in Individual Support/Disability/Mental Health

Requirements:

• Reliable and comprehensively insured vehicle
• Smartphone
• Willingness to travel no more than 30 mins from home
• Willingness to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to provide feedback to management on any issue or concern

Experience:

• Minimum one year experience in a similar role.
• Experience working with people with disabilities.
• Experience with high complex clients is advantageous

Skills:

• Ability to speak English fluently.
• Ability to work with different cultures, genders, ages and ability levels
• Ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
• Ability to complete required documentation
• Strong time management and prioritisation ability.
• Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism to job and duties.
