The Role

• Lead full tender lifecycle: from initial enquiry through submission and handover.

• Analyse drawings, specifications, and site conditions to develop competitive, accurate tenders.

• Build and maintain a robust subcontractor and supplier network across targeted new sectors.

• Conduct trade break-ups and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

• Collaborate closely with design, construction, and delivery teams to ensure tenders align with D&C methodology.

• Lead value-engineering and margin improvement initiatives.

• Develop pricing intelligence in sectors such as healthcare, civic, and government.

• Uphold QA processes and provide hands-on execution during initial growth.

The Person

• A Senior Estimator with a minimum 6 years solid Estimating experience.

• Proven experience delivering D&C projects $3M-$20M+, with strong exposure to government and public-sector projects.

• Established network within Queensland subcontractors, consultants, and key decision makers (government and private).

• Familiarity with government tender processes and documentation highly regarded.

• Confident, proactive communicator who can represent DCE externally and foster trust quickly.

• Hands-on, strategic mindset - comfortable executing and driving outcomes with minimal support.

• Familiarity with Green Star and sustainability requirements advantageous.
