Head Chef, Mosman Rowers.

Mosman Rowers is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. As a prominent venue with an engaged local community, we need a candidate who combines culinary excellence with strong operational discipline.

Your Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee the kitchen team to ensure consistency, high quality, and efficient service

Create and execute seasonal menus and daily specials that reflect our venue’s identity

Oversee food safety, stock management, costs, and build relationships with suppliers

Train and mentor junior staff to foster a positive back-of-house culture and promote staff retention

Maintain effective communication with front-of-house to deliver seamless service

Our Ideal Candidate:

Holds full Australian working rights

Has at least 3 years’ experience as Head Chef or a strong Sous Chef ready to step up, with proven leadership skills

Possesses excellent communication skills and confidence leading by example

Holds or is willing to obtain Food Safety Supervisor certification

Has a solid understanding of kitchen finances, including COGS, labor, waste, and stock control

Remains calm under pressure, solution-oriented, and committed to quality

Works effectively within a team environment
