About the role

Niuminco Group Limited is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team based in Belrose, NSW. As a part-time role, this position will play a crucial part in maintaining the financial health and reporting obligations of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of accounting duties and will have the opportunity to contribute to the overall strategic direction of the company.

What you'll be doing

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow reports and Statutory Half Yearly and Annual Reports

Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts

Perform month-end and year-end accounting tasks, such as reconciliations and journal entries

Provide financial analysis and recommendations to management

Support the month-end close process and the preparation of management reports

Collaborate with the management team to improve financial processes and controls

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA or CA designation

Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the Financial Accounting & Reporting industry

Experience in mining, resources, or ASX-listed companies would be highly regarded

Strong technical accounting skills including the ability to do consolidations, with a solid understanding of Australian Accounting Standards

Knowledge of ASX listing rules and continuous disclosure requirements

Excellent financial reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights

Proficient in the use of financial software and spreadsheets

Proficient in MYOB and advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
