The Regional Economic Development Specialist partners with the community, government, and businesses to foster sustainable economic growth and regional prosperity. The role focuses on creating a welcoming environment that makes it easy to do business with Council, attracting new businesses and investment to the region, and enhancing the sustainability of existing local businesses. The position also facilitates programs that address regional needs, including retaining and growing a skilled workforce, identifying organisations that can create positive futures for the next generation, and enabling access to solutions that support continued regional growth, such as key worker accommodation, land, and housing options.

Details and Benefits:

• Position based in Roma, Qld
• Permanent, Full-time Position - 36.25hours per week
• Maranoa Regional Council Certified Agreement 2023 - Stream A - Level 6
• Maranoa Locality Allowance - $72.00 per fortnight
