About this opportunity:
As a Development Technical Officer, you will:
- Provide accurate, timely advice and support to the development industry, community members, and internal stakeholders in various aspects of Development Planning and Engineering Program operations.
- Manage the survey plan endorsement process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist with aspects of infrastructure charging and debt recovery efforts.
- Contribute to a culture that values teamwork, workplace health, safety, and wellbeing.
We are seeking someone who brings:
- Experience in local government or the development industry, particularly in planning, surveying, plumbing, or legal environments.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
- QLD C Class Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge of Queensland Planning legislation.
- Experience in local government, development industry fields including planning and development process, plumbing, surveying and legal environment is desirable.
- Strong communication and customer service skills, including conflict resolution.
