About Balonne Shire:

The Balonne Shire is located along the beautiful Balonne River, just five hours' drive west of Brisbane on the QLD-NSW border. Balonne Shire Council has a dedicated team of 110+ staff and population of 4,500 people who live in the surrounding towns of St George, Thallon, Dirranbandi, Bollon, Nindigully, Mungindi and Hebel.

The Workforce Development role is to assist employers, job seekers, residents, and key stakeholders in achieving workforce development objectives and outcomes for the Balonne region.

About you:

Demonstrable high-level communication skills with an ability to liaise effectively with external stakeholders in a culturally diverse environment

Demonstrable organisational skills with the ability to prioritise own workload to achieve quality outcomes

Strong interpersonal and presentation skills

Strong literacy skills

Minimum two (2) years relevant professional experience - can include volunteer work with non-profit organisations, working with multiple stakeholders etc.

Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite

What we offer:

This is a full-time, temporary (12 months) position, salary cash component – Level 5.1 - $82,570 per annum.

Locality allowance of $1,945 per annum

Optional 19-day month, RDO arrangement

5 weeks annual leave

15 days sick leave
