A greenfield opportunity like this is rare! The Events and Community Engagement Specialist is a brand new role at Partners in Care Together, Bundaberg’s truly local charity.
Who are we looking for? We want to work with someone who has the experience and vision to build growth through strategic event management, who will create meaningful engagement opportunities that cultivate long-term donor loyalty and support and who is wildly passionate about building and nurturing strong relationships with our community.
This person will be experienced at creating and delivering successful and memorable events and will build and strengthen relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders, including major donors, corporate partners, foundation board members, volunteers, and community leaders.
Ideally we want someone who has
· five or more years of experience in event management, fundraising, and/or community engagement, preferably within the non-profit sector;
· demonstrated project management skills with a high level of attention to detail;
· the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously;
· high proficiency in developing and maintaining budgets, calendars, timelines, risk assessments and reports;
· proven experience in managing complex events (for example think galas for >500pax) from concept to completion, including budget management and vendor relations;
· high proficiency in Salesforce and Raisely or other CRM software and event management platforms;
· a high degree of professionalism, discretion, and an ability to handle confidential information;
· exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling event messaging and donor correspondence;
· the ability to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to support events;
· high proficiency in producing event collateral, including invitations, programs, and digital content; and
· ability to work within a team environment and autonomously as required.
Does this sound like you? Then please let us learn more about you! We invite you to apply with a two-page resume and a cover letter no longer than two pages telling us about yourself, outlining your experience and why you want to work with us as our Events and Community Engagement Specialist.
