Our client, a leader in promoting quality teaching and leadership in the education sector, is seeking a Governance & Legal Support Officer to join their team! The Governance & Legal Support Officer will provide high-level administrative support to the General Counsel & Company Secretary in delivering effective governance and secretariat services to the Board of Directors and wider organisation. This role is central to ensuring the team operates smoothly, with a focus on organisation, accuracy, and proactive support.
This role offers flexibility to work remotely; however, attendance in the office will be required on meeting days (on a Tuesday) and during critical governance cycles (e.g., Board paper collation and distribution). Outside of these times, flexible working arrangements can be accommodated.
Your responsibilities will include;
• Diary and calendar management (scheduling, coordinating meetings, resolving conflicting appointments).
• Meeting preparation (sourcing papers and approvals, collating documents into meeting packs, distribution to attendees).
•Travel booking and itinerary management.
• Venue setup and coordination (boardroom preparation, IT/AV equipment setup, catering arrangements, materials management, and Teams coordination for virtual meetings).
• Document management and filing.
• Payment processing and expense reconciliation.
The ideal candidate will be confidential and professional in their approach, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and high level stakeholder management experience and be comfortable liaising with executives, executive assistants, board members, external suppliers, and internal staff as well as take an initiative-driven approach to supporting executives and governance processes.
Part-time (19hrs p/wk) hybrid ongoing role until 30th June 2026. Attendance in the office will be required on Tuesdays, only when their are meetings scheduled, all other times the work can be complete remotely.
