Quality Assurance Manager – Mascot, NSW

Due to significant growth and expansion, Vic’s Premium Quality Meat Group is creating a new opportunity for an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead our QA function across our NSW operations, based at our Mascot site. This role is pivotal to ensuring our continued reputation for uncompromising quality, compliance, and excellence.

The Role

As Quality Assurance Manager, you will lead and oversee all QA activities across our NSW operations, ensuring compliance with export, food safety, and customer standards. You will partner closely with production and operations teams to maintain our rigorous quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and embed a culture of excellence in food safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the QA function, ensuring compliance with all export, food safety, and customer requirements.

Manage audits and certifications including AUS-MEAT, DAFF/Export, BRCGS, and customer-specific programs.

Maintain, develop, and strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS) and HACCP programs.

Oversee corrective actions, root cause analysis, and site-wide continuous improvement initiatives.

Provide training and support to operations and production teams to reinforce a strong food safety culture.

Act as the key liaison for auditors, regulators, and customers on all QA and compliance matters.

Ensure effective document control, traceability, and record-keeping systems.

Stay current with legislative changes, certification standards, and export requirements.

What We’re Looking For

Demonstrated experience in QA or Technical Management within meat processing or food manufacturing (export facility background highly regarded).

Strong working knowledge of HACCP, AUS-MEAT, and BRCGS standards.

Proven experience managing audits and external stakeholder relationships.

Proficiency with QA, compliance, and production systems

Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills, with a proven ability to train and guide cross-functional teams.

Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and a focus on driving improvements.

Relevant tertiary qualifications in Food Science, Meat Science, or related discipline (preferred).
