Quality Coordinator – Food Manufacturing
Location: Altona, VIC
Are you looking to take the next step in your quality career within a dynamic and innovative food manufacturing environment? This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality professional to join a global leader in nutritional food ingredients.
About the Role
Based in Altona, this role will see you coordinate quality-related activities associated with subcontract manufacturing. You'll act as the primary Quality representative, ensuring all production and quality systems are followed, while driving continuous improvement across operations.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate production batch formulation and oversee in-process quality control testing.
Conduct trend analysis of quality and operational parameters to ensure compliance with product specifications.
Manage QC sampling, calibration of analytical equipment, and verification of critical control points.
Support investigations into deviations, complaints, and non-conformances, and ensure timely CAPA implementation.
Lead and participate in HACCP and Food Safety programs aligned to ISO22000.
Conduct internal, supplier, and subcontractor audits as part of the Quality team.
Liaise with subcontract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
About You
Degree in Food Science/Technology (or related discipline).
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a Quality role within food manufacturing.
HACCP trained and Lead Auditor qualified.
Strong understanding of food safety standards (ISO/FSSC22000).
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work night/weekend shifts and travel as required.
Knowledge of spray-drying processes or infant formula standards highly regarded.
Australian citizenship or permanent residency required.
