About the role

Mr Metal Recycling is seeking an experienced Accounts/Office Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis at our Taren Point, NSW location. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and administrative tasks that keep our recycling business running smoothly.

What you'll be doing

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable invoices

Reconciling bank statements

Preparing monthly financial reports and statements

Providing administrative support to the broader team as needed

Maintaining electronic and physical filing systems

Processing payroll and other HR-related tasks

Contributing to the continuous improvement of our accounting and office procedures

What we're looking for

Minimum 2-3 years' experience as an Accounts/Office Administrator, preferably in the recycling or manufacturing industry

Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, with a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management

Proficiency with accounting software -(Xero)

Minimum 1-2 years of experience with Xero accounting software

Minimum 2+ years of payroll processing experience

Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

An enthusiastic, proactive and collaborative approach to work

Australian work rights are required for this position
