The NDIS Intake and Referrals Coordinator will be involved in the intake and referral process for participants seeking accommodation within our current and future SDA homes - all of which are modern, functional and community focused.
Avenu develops, operates and manages high quality, modern and functional SDA homes for those living with a disability.

Following on from recent growth, Avenu are currently seeking a part-time or full-time Intake & Referrals Coordinator to be involved in the intake and referral process for participants seeking accommodation within our current and future SDA homes.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your administrative and disability sector support expertise to this fast paced and key organisational role.
What you'll be responsible for:
Management of online property advertising portals such as Housing Hub and Go Nest. This includes management of enquiries.
Assisting senior staff with general administration tasks and onboarding new participants to SDA homes or existing participants transition between homes in a professional, supportive manner that is in line with process and system requirements.
Collating and gathering relevant documentation from participants and other relevant stakeholders.
Ensuring participant records adhere to confidentiality policy and procedures.
Maintain a client enquiry and transition plan and management of waitlist timeframes.
All participant data is entered into the relevant management system.
Monitoring referral sources.
Contacting and liaising with referral sources and networks
Daily administration tasks.
When required, coordinate and participate in information sessions and expos within the community.
Manage existing participants and relationships.
Organise and participate in regular participant morning teas and social events.

What you’ll need to be considered for the role:
Previous experience in a same, or similar role is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent administrative, time management and organisational skills.
Demonstrated experience working within the Disability sector , including knowledge of NDIS, is advantageous but not essential.
Ability to work collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders at different levels.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously whilst using initiative and problem-solving abilities.
High degree of professionalism, passion and resilience.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with individuals from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.
Current unrestricted Driver’s License and DHS clearance (mandatory - this can be applied for once in the role)
Quality Microsoft Office skills.
