Work with a trusted subcontractor handling overflow maintenance for a major hospital in Fitzroy. This hands-on role offers consistent work, great rates, and the potential for permanency all while contributing to the upkeep of critical healthcare facilities.

Your new role

• You will play a crucial part in maintaining hospital facilities, your responsibilities will include:
• Conducting routine inspections to identify wear, tear, or hazards
• Repairing and maintaining hospital furniture, doors, windows, cabinets, and fixtures
• Patching & painting, fixing door handles, and general upkeep
• Installing and replacing flooring and ceiling panels

Please note: This role is NOT suitable for construction carpenters focused on new builds. We're looking for someone with proven experience in commercial maintenance and refurbishment work.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Cert III in Carpentry
• Own tools to complete daily tasks efficiently
• Professional presentation and strong communication skills you will be interacting with the public
• Flexibility and discretion, you will be working around patients in a sensitive environment
• Proven experience in maintenance carpentry, particularly in commercial or healthcare settings
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and address wear, tear, and hazards
• Reliability and commitment to ongoing work with the potential for permanency
