About us
Edmund Rice Education Australia Victorian Schools Limited (EREA VSL) is responsible for the governance of six Victorian schools, and their associated campuses that enrol over 10,000 students.
EREA VSL is guided by the EREA Charter for Catholic Schools in the Edmund Rice Tradition. The Charter articulates the vision, mission, and objectives for schools.

The Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Company Secretary to support the EREA Victorian Schools Ltd Board. The incumbent will bring their governance expertise to the efficient and effective running of board meetings.
Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Company Secretary will prepare the annual board calendar, agenda and minutes, maintain a repository of board information and documentation, and induct new board members.

You will be employed on a part-time (3 days per week), fixed-term basis, for a period of 2 years.
The remuneration for the role is within the range of $160,000 to $170,000 gross per annum (negotiable), plus leave loading and superannuation, depending on skills, education and experience.
You will need
· Tertiary Qualifications in governance, commerce or law
· Significant experience as a company secretary
· Additional training from the AICD or Governance Institute of Australia (desirable)
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, particularly the preparation of complex reports suitable for Board decision-making.
· A courteous, engaging and efficient manner with proven interpersonal skills to relate to a variety of audiences.
· Effective and independent time management, achieving deadlines, follow up actions and an ability to research and analyse information and anticipate organizational issues.
· Ability to obtain a Working with Children Check and provide a National Police Check certificate (issued within the last six months) or Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration
