About Us
Sydney Children’s Practice is a nationally recognised and award-winning psychology practice with two Inner West locations (Glebe and Stanmore). Guided by our values of warmth and care, professionalism, and integrity, we provide trusted, evidence-based care that improves mental health and creates brighter futures for young lives.
In 2025, we were proud to be named the winner in the Psychology category at the Australian Professionals Small Business Champion Awards. This recognition reflects the dedication of our whole team to effective, ethical, and sustainable care.
We also place a strong emphasis on our team culture, which we see as essential to the work we do. Our culture is professional, supportive, and collegial, and we make it a priority by carving out dedicated time to connect, reflect, and strengthen the way we work together. This commitment ensures that our staff feel valued and supported, and that we can continue to deliver the highest standard of care to families.
The Role
We are seeking a full-time Practice Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day running of our clinics and support our continued growth. This is a hands-on role to begin with, involving leadership of our admin team and oversight of operations, with the opportunity to step into higher-level operational leadership over time.
You will also play a key role in nurturing our team culture, ensuring staff feel supported, connected, and able to do their best work.
Key responsibilities include:
Rostering clinicians and admin staff across two locations and split shifts.
Leading and managing the admin team to ensure smooth client bookings and onboarding.
Overseeing practice operations, from stock to systems, to ensure seamless service delivery.
Managing financial processes, including reconciliations in Xero, billing, debt management, and fortnightly payroll.
Planning clinicians’ diaries one term in advance to support client continuity.
Monitoring utilisation rates and supporting strategies to maintain healthy levels.
Driving improvements to systems and processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Supporting a strong, values-led team culture across clinicians and admin staff.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:
Calm under pressure, highly detail-oriented, and reliable.
Personable and warm, able to build strong relationships with families, clinicians, and admin staff.
An effective leader with proven management experience, ideally in health or allied health (transferable skills considered).
Confident and assertive, able to problem-solve and provide solutions proactively.
A culture-builder who values teamwork, morale, and a supportive environment.
Skilled in rostering, payroll, and operational systems, with experience using Xero highly regarded.
Committed to excellence and continual improvement of systems and processes.
Formal qualifications in management or business are desirable, though candidates with proven experience will be strongly considered.
Why Join Us
Be part of a nationally recognised, purpose-driven practice.
Enjoy stability and support from a dedicated leadership team.
Contribute to meaningful work that improves the lives of children and families.
Join a values-led team culture where professionalism is balanced with warmth and care.
