Your new role

This role is focused on managing complex and sensitive performance, conduct, and rehabilitation matters. You will provide expert guidance to managers and employees, ensuring compliance with legislative and procedural requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices. • Prepare high-quality documentation including case summaries, investigation reports, correspondence, and briefings to decision makers
  • Interpret and apply relevant directives, procedures, and legislation in the context of performance and conduct issues
  • Facilitate dispute resolution and support effective early intervention and local resolution where possible
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including investigators
  • Support psychosocial wellbeing and contribute to a positive health and safety culture

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong technical knowledge of employment law, procedural fairness principles, and public sector HR frameworks
  • Proven case management skills in both performance/code and rehabilitation
  • Experience interpreting and applying directives, legislation, employment frameworks and HR policies
  • Proven ability to assess complex issues, analyse risks, and develop practical, compliant solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and convey complex information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, mediate, and manage sensitive workplace issues
  • High level of discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in handling sensitive matters
  • Capacity to deliver high-quality outcomes while managing competing priorities with minimal supervision

Highly desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications or accreditation in HR management, industrial relations, employment law, investigations, or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in performance and code, rehabilitation, complex HR Advisor, or similar
  • Ability to obtain and maintain minimum Baseline security clearance and national police check

We encourage and welcome applications from people with Disability, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, LGBTIQ+ people, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and mature age people.
