Overview

Responsible for managing the deployment of quality systems and certification processes to enable the efficient operation of audits against a range of accredited and non-accredited standards on ANZ producers and processors. The Quality Assurance Facilitator [Certifications] identifies and develops strategies and delivery plans to achieve customer satisfaction, so that they achieve their objectives related to best practice, sustainability, and environmental and social footprint.

The post holder is responsible for overseeing quality / administrative support team, with particular focus on planning, project delivery and issuance of Transaction Certificates and logo approvals, and is accountable for contracting, planning, and certification decisions in line with our QMS systems. The post holder is also responsible for continuous improvement initiatives.

Areas of Responsibility

Work closely and collaborate with operational and technical teams and management to ensure optimal quality outcomes.

Monitor and facilitate the issuance of Scope Certificates and Transaction Certificates for a wide range of sustainable certification schemes in a timely manner through ICU, CUSI, and CIS, identifying potential improvements to systems, processes and workflows.

Facilitate, monitor, and ensure a correct certification process - developing, implementing and maintaining processes and systems to ensure:

Implementation of new or updated documents; internally and externally.

Review marketing and information, offers, management of clients and relations, filing offers.

Checking returned offers, Client File, sending Criteria and invoice to client, scheduling first assessments.

Monitoring audit planning and manage execution and related tasks.

Monitoring assessments and non-conformities, filing documentation.

Checking assessment documentation, drafting, signing, and sending of report, filing report.

Checking report, certification decision, certification mark, signing and sending certificate, filing certificate.

Management of execution of post certification: scheduling of assessments, assigning audits to be carried out, invoice, decision to suspend or withdraw certification, written information for reduction, suspension, or withdrawal of certificate, updating the List of Certificates and Clients, trace ability actions, filing documentation.

Making certification decisions

Assistance with handling of claims and appeals.

Monitoring of (Senior) assessors.

Training of team members to required standards, identifies, and proposes the need for training of assessors.

Registration, investigation, handling, and follow-up of complaints:

Registration, selection, implementation, and follow-up of improvements.

Filing of Improvement Form.

Ensure that all enquiries are handled in a timely manner and provide excellent customer service.

Monitor and ensure uniformity in quality of services.

Facilitates and leads continuous improvement initiatives.

Updates and issues controlled documents and service specifications to ensure current standards and program requirements are applied.

Work closely with local and overseas colleagues.

About You - Experience

Passion for the environment and sustainability.

Degree qualified (Graduate / Postgraduate) in a related discipline e.g. Business field. Desirable to also have background in Sustainable Textiles, Sustainability, Environmental Orientated Process, Renewable Energies, or equivalent disciplines.

Experience in a similar position. Experience / understanding of quality management and project support duties.

Proven experience in leading quality assurance or certification teams, including staff supervision, performance management, and decision-making authority in certification outcomes.

Demonstrable experience with quality systems and accreditations.

Knowledge of sustainability and certification programs related to textiles, environmental compliance, social compliance and / or agricultural / animal welfare highly advantageous.

Knowledge of business management practices.

Knowledge of client products, processes and organization (as per program manual).

Knowledge of client business.

Knowledge of specific management system standards/normative documents.

Knowledge of risks in relation to products and processes.

Knowledge of certification body's processes (QM, SMs).

Training-skills.

Able to demonstrate a high level of competence in Microsoft Packages, excellent MS Word and Excel skills and ability to develop proficiency in systems i.e. ICU, CUSI.

A passion for Sustainability in Environmental Engineering / Textiles and / or Agriculture.

Proficient level of English with excellent report writing and presentation skills.

Ability to anticipate and balance the need of multiple stakeholders.

Ability to work autonomously and a demonstrated resourceful and proactive nature.

Demonstrated abilities related to problem-solving, decision-making, judgement, leadership, and team-oriented skills to manage multiple projects - Decisive, i.e. reaches timely conclusions based on logical reasoning and analysis.

Able to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to evoke critical thinking.

Organised and meticulous attention to detail.

Competence:

Being able to communicate with internal and external parties;

Being able to review, and evaluate documents according scheme requirements;

Being able to determine the risks of processes and/or products specific for the assigned modules;

Being able to apply CUC QM procedures;

Being able to apply scheme-requirements;

Being able to understand, and judge on information in reports for the specific modules assigned.
