Salary: VPS 4 $97,955 - $111,142 pa + 12% super
Location: 664 Collins St, Docklands

About the role:
You'll play a key role in facilitating major infrastructure projects and ensuring environmental risks are addressed early in the planning process. You'll work with internal teams and external stakeholders to provide strategic advice that supports EPA's mission to prevent harm to Victorian communities and the environment from pollution and waste.
In this role you will:
- Support the delivery of major infrastructure projects and EPA's involvement in Environment Effects Statement (EES) processes under the Environment Effects Act 1978.
- Provide timely and authoritative advice on environmental regulation and EPA's legislative framework.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships across government and industry to support project outcomes.
- Contribute to a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on continuous improvement.
- Represent EPA in stakeholder engagement, promoting awareness of environmental laws and EPA's role as Victoria's independent environmental regulator.
- Apply problem-solving approaches using EPA's enhanced regulatory tools under the Environment Protection Act 2017.
Skills and experience:
- Strong project coordination and management skills, particularly for complex infrastructure or development projects.
- Experience in a development advisory function, preferably within government.
- Proven ability to plan, monitor and deliver services aligned with organisational priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
- Understanding of environmental regulation relating to pollution and waste (desirable).
- Ability to interpret and apply government legislation, regulations, and procedures (desirable).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in environmental science, planning, or a related field (preferred).
